MQM London target killer Joseph Thieves arrested in murder of 96 people
Karachi police have arrested the alleged target killer of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London, Yousuf alias Thalewala, in connection with the murder of 96 people, the accused claimed in his statement.
At a press conference in Karachi, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sharafi Azfar Mehsar said that the anti-crime crime force and Soldier Bazaar police arrested the target killer Yusuf alias Thalewala, belonging to MQM London, in a joint operation.
According to SSP East, the accused confessed to killing 30 people and has also recovered 66 bodies, there are more than 40 people in his network, the accused also mentioned the names of his other colleagues in the investigation. The accused, in his statement, also claimed to have contact with Farooq Sattar.
The SSP added that the accused has been accused of killing 96 people from 1995 till now, the accused was arrested in 1996 and released in 1997, the accused had earlier been arrested in 2017 and was on payroll.
According to police, there were 50 target killers, including the accused, who were arrested and released on payroll and then went missing.
On the other hand, Farooq Sattar, who heads the MQM rehabilitation committee, strongly denied the allegations against him and declared it a conspiracy against him.
Farooq Sattar, while expressing solidarity with the residents of Chishti Nagar in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi, immediately denied the allegations leveled against him in the media and said that Yusuf did not know the man, this is a conspiracy against me.
